BrightTube does not collect, store, share or transmit any personal data.
The only information the extension saves is your chosen brightness level (a number from 0 to 100). It is stored using Chrome’s built-in storage (chrome.storage.sync), which Chrome may sync across your own signed-in browsers. This data never leaves Chrome’s storage and is never sent to the developer or any third party.
BrightTube runs only on youtube.com, where it changes the brightness of the video element and displays a brightness selector. It does not read your browsing history, account information, or video content, and contains no analytics, advertising or tracking.
BrightTube is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by YouTube or Google.
